![]() Where determined necessary in the opinion of the Chief of Police, an annual maintenance agreement shall be required as a condition for reinstatement of the registration. If no report or certification is received within forty-five (45) days from the effective date of revocation, the registration for the calendar year issued shall be considered void and the alarm system shall be disconnected. No further response to an alarm system shall be provided until such time that the Chief of Police has received a certification from a licensed alarm supplier describing the basis for malfunction and also certification that the alarm system is free of defect. ![]() The person to whom the alarm system is registered shall be notified by both certified and regular mail of such action and be provided with the effective date of the revocation. B.Following the third false alarm, the Chief of Police shall have the authority to temporarily revoke the registration of any alarm system within the township. (2)For the third and subsequent false alarms per calendar year: one hundred dollars ($100.) for each alarm. A.For the purpose of defraying the cost to the township for responding to false alarms, the owners and/or users of an alarm system as defined by this chapter shall be subject to the following schedule of fines: (1)For the second false alarm per calendar year: fifty dollars ($50.) for each alarm. (c) Investigation by police officer.-Every accident reported to a police department required in this section shall be investigated by a police officer who shall provide each driver a signed statement that the accident was reported. (b) Duty of occupant if driver disabled.-Whenever the driver of a vehicle is physically incapable of giving an immediate notice of an accident as required in subsection (a) and there is another occupant in the vehicle at the time of the accident capable of doing so, the occupant shall make or cause to be given the notice not given by the driver. (a) General rule.-The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident shall immediately by the quickest means of communication give notice to the nearest office of a duly authorized police department if the accident involves: (1) injury to or death of any person or (2) damage to any vehicle involved to the extent that it cannot be driven under its own power in its customary manner without further damage or hazard to the vehicle, other traffic elements, or the roadway, and therefore requires towing.
